Meet Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn Gambino Sherman was an all-scholastic pitcher for Abington High School from 1998 - 2002 and served as a two year captain. She had an impressive 0.67 ERA during her high school career and was named Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic, Enterprise All-Scholastic and Boston Globe All-Scholastic.
In 2003, Kaitlyn entered Bridgewater State College as a freshman and earned the "Rookie of the Year" title for the MASCAC league while also being named Bridgewater State College freshman female athlete of the year. During her time at BSC she was a three year captain, named to All-Conference and All-Regional teams, named pitcher of the week on numerous occasions and was the 3rd pitcher in the history of Bridgewater State to capture her 300th career strikeout. Due to her commitment and leadership skills, she was chosen to represent BSC at a Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida.
In 2008 and 2009, Kaitlyn was the Pitching Coach, Assistant Coach and Fitness Coach for the Bridgewater State Softball team. During her time coaching at BSC, the Bears clinched the title of MASCAC champions.
In addition to pitching Kaitlyn is currently is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelors in Nursing and secondary Bachelors in Exercise Physiology.
